Quick notes

How to use the card well, and what to watch before applying.

How to use it well

  • Use for eligible online retail, food delivery, and travel checkouts up to roughly ₹40,000 per statement cycle.
  • Once the ₹2,000 online cap is reached, route incremental online spends to a secondary card.
  • Keep a separate card for utility, insurance, rent, wallet, fuel, education, railways, jewellery, gaming, toll, and government spends.

Watch before applying

  • Heavy spenders lose significant value after the 1 April 2026 cap cut because the old ₹5,000 statement-cycle ceiling is gone.
  • SBI's FAQ still shows the older ₹5,000 cumulative cap, so trust the revised benefits letter and MITC for current cashback math.
  • Merchant EMI and Flexipay EMI transactions do not qualify for cashback.
