How We Make Money
KnowYourFinance is an independent financial research platform. To keep our tools free for you (like the Card Advisor and Lounge Atlas), we may maintain commercial partnerships with some financial institutions and networks.
The website does not route users through external application or referral links. Issuer source links help you inspect the evidence behind fees, rewards and lounge rules. Card pages also provide value modeling and internal comparison tools.
No "Pay to Play" Rankings
Our core promise is trust.
1. We do not sell rankings. You cannot buy the #1 spot on our "Top 100" list. That spot is earned by the card's calculated net value.
2. Coverage beyond partners. We include cards regardless of commercial relationships. Research coverage varies by card; sources, checked fields and model limits help you assess each listing.
3. We highlight flaws. If a partner card has a bad devaluation or hidden fee, we will write about it.
Site measurements and privacy
We collect coarse page groups, mobile or desktop size, performance metrics and counts of advisor steps and comparison views to improve this website. These application records exclude session identifiers, card names, search text, spending amounts, IP addresses and browser user agents. We honor Do Not Track and skip collection on preview deployments.
Records use our hosting provider's existing runtime logs and retention settings. Hosting infrastructure may separately process request metadata to serve and secure the site. Event counts do not identify individual users or establish conversion rates.
Editorial Independence
Our writers and researchers are tasked with one job: finding the truth about financial products. Partner banks do not get to preview, approve, or edit our reviews before they are published.
