1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the KnowYourFinance mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

KnowYourFinance is a personal finance calculator and planning application that:

• Provides 22+ India-specific financial calculators (EMI, SIP, Tax, PPF, EPF, etc.)
• Offers scenario planning and What-If analysis tools
• Tracks your financial goals, budgets, and net worth
• Provides financial health scoring and income tracking
• Includes financial education content and investor portfolio examples
• All processing happens on-device with no data transmission

3. Eligibility

The App is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store and can be used by anyone. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• You have permission to install apps on your device
• You will use the App in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws
• For minors: You have parental consent to use financial planning tools

4. License and Usage

4.1 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal iOS device for your personal, non-commercial use.

4.2 License Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use the App to harm minors in any way
• Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• All data processing happens on your device
• We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data
• You are responsible for backing up your data

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• All financial decisions made using the App
• Verifying the accuracy of transaction data
• Backing up your data if desired
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
• Any activity that occurs on your device

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy of transaction categorization
• Completeness of financial data extraction
• Reliability of calculators and tools
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement

7.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Financial losses resulting from App usage
• Inaccurate transaction categorization or data extraction
• Errors in financial calculations
• Loss of data due to device issues or App uninstallation
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any damages exceeding the amount paid for the App (which is zero for the free version)

8. Accuracy of Information

While we strive for accuracy:

• Income categorization (if used) uses machine learning and may not always be accurate
• Financial calculators are based on standard formulas but may not account for all variables
• You should verify all important financial information independently

9. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Update the App to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance
• Modify or discontinue features without notice
• Change these Terms at any time

Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.

10. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Amodh Shetty and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

• Breach of these Terms
• Illegal or fraudulent use
• At our sole discretion

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Amodh Shetty, KnowYourFinance, and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Financial decisions made based on App information

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

16. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
